Laurence Payot is working with Scientists Micheal Brockhurst from the University of York, and Duncan Cameron from the University of Sheffield to investigate how Symbiosis can be used as a model for creating Living Sculptures.

In this video, Laurence Payot and the teams of scientists draw parallels between the collaborative elements of symbiotic relationships in nature, and the exchange of value between audiences/participants and artworks.

This long term collaboration will lead to 2 Living Sculpture experiments during the Festival of Ideas in York (13-14 June) and Festival of the Mind in Sheffield (September)
