Proposal – Infinite Cycles of Trees (peep hole version)

Below are artist impressions for a new outdoor artwork. The images were created using a mix of AI and editing software. The work is in prototype stage: it consists of cylindric structures made with the shell of tree trunks. People are invited to look in and enter a kaleidoscopic world of falling autumn leaves.

The work is in prototype stage and can be available for touring indoors or outdoors. The hollow trunks provide shelter for hidden technology (screens, mirrors, and perspex), mixing a range of reflective techniques to create a deep and infinite wimsical world.

The work reminds us of the beautiful and endless cycles of the life of trees and forests, in which fallen leaves become an ecosystem for a range of species which in turn provide nutrients for new trees to thrive. The cut tree trunks be be seen as a rupture in the cycle and reminds us of our responsibility in keeping these worlds alive.
