French artist Laurence Payot creates large scale events and objects, inviting people to co-create artworks that are meaningful to them and inspired by the place they live in.
She needs you to design, inspire, make the work with her.
Was your family involved in the production of silk?
Did you know anyone working in the industry?
Is silk part of your childhood memories?
Is silk still the soul of the town?
On Saturday 28th of January, she invites you to play, have fun, experiment together with fabric and threads to create collective sculptures. This first session will inform the design of the work, and you would become the first stakeholders of this ambitious project that will blend heritage with new technologies.
On Friday 10th of February, she will create some drawings and sketches for this new work, and invites you to pop in, say hello, find out about the project and create collaborative drawings and prints if you wish to.
