Living Sculpture (CorAL) is a digital interactive artwork inspired by the research around symbiosis led by Michael Brockhurst at the University of York. A wooden structure invites visitors to place their hands within, and pass through a layer of holographic particles. A the visitors’ hands enter to feel the ‘untouchable’ video , a coral grows within their palm. When two people enter the piece together, a whole ecosystem starts to grow…
